Qusay Hussein, a blind Iraqi refugee, overcame incredible challenges, including surviving a suicide bombing and enduring years of medical treatment, to earn a degree from the University of Texas at Austin. After relocating to Austin as a refugee, Hussein learned English, obtained his GED, and pursued higher education. Graduating with a double major in psychology and social work, he aims to help others as a social worker and aspires to earn a PhD. His journey is a testament to resilience and hope.
