Qusay S. Hussein is an esteemed motivational speaker and an inspiring Ph.D. candidate in Social Work at the University of Texas at Austin. His life took a profound turn at the age of 17 when he survived a suicide bomb attack in his hometown in Iraq, resulting in blindness and severe facial injuries that required numerous reconstructive surgeries. After migrating to the United States without formal educational credentials, Qusay embarked on a transformative educational path, achieving his G.E.D., followed by an Associate’s Degree from Austin Community College, a bachelor’s degree, and a master’s degree at UT Austin.
